Jill Carter (Joslin) left the corporate world after having her daughter, Alexi. She continued in sports marketing for another 10 years but always loved to cook and entertain.
As a single mother, she couldn’t just jump ship and start something new. However, in 2007 she went to work helping a caterer and restaurant owner build their franchise business. After that project was complete she began to run the “school food service management business” for G Texas Catering.
In 2012 she and a partner bought that piece of the business. She bought the partner out 1 1/2 years later and has continued to grow and expand the business to corporate and event catering, corporate dining (managing office building cafeterias) and is now offering some of their delicious food to go. “We had so many people ask us how they could get some of our great pulled pork or juicy shredded brisket and famous salsa so we decided to start selling it,” says Jill.
We continue our school food service management catering where we create and provide homemade food with fresh ingredients to many private schools and staff. Our emphasis is to reduce preservatives. “The foods that so many kids eat today are loaded with preservatives that affect their focus, attention span and weight. We are trying t help with that,” says Jill. We have a great staff of 30 chefs/employees that are dedicated in building menus that not only excite the kids at school but are healthy.
